Supervision through VPN connection

Nivek Automation has completed the integration of VPN connections between 3 buildings located several kilometers from each other. The system had to be very reliable, safe and fast.

The basic concepts in networking are confidentiality, integrity and availability, most solutions on the market offer solutions to commercial and institutional markets, in these versions we find concepts that are classified in this order of priority :
1. Confidentiality
2. Integrity
3. Availability
We were looking for an industrial solution, that focuses on the importance
of the availability and integrity of data, so we opted for Phoenix Contact Rooter / Firewall mGuard’s solution.

The system allows maintaining a constant link between sites, in addition to being very safe, we can be sure that the transferred data will not be altered during transportation. Also each site has its own security certificates for VPN and firewalls and they are completely closed, therefore an intrusion into the network is virtually impossible.

The main SCADA can now proceed with the data recording in the main base, the PLC exchanges information between them to make flow anticipation, which also allows us to notice any presence of leakage between the pumping stations and the factory.
